Traffic

The Wards Cove proposal will generate less peak period traffic than existed on site at the Company’s full employment in 2002.

• At current employment levels, the project would not generate a substantial amount of traffic (32 to 35 additional peak hour trips) because lower intensity uses (marina, office and residential) will generate less traffic than marine industrial employment. Traffic operations into and out of vicinity should remain virtually unchanged.
  
• Proposed Green Street improvements--curved roadway, curb bulbs and organized on-street parking--will calm traffic flow along the street and improve the environment for pedestrians and bicyclists.
